please help with this boring bathroom! i tried to make it light, and it just came out boring. i used the same paint color to try to tie it together. my inspiration was my grandmothers hair brush, hence the pink and gold. also the picture frame and rug, however all of it can be moved if necessary. rita's bathroom really inspired me to go ahead and start on this room. help, please, you guys are great!

I LOVE pink and gold. I'd pull a deeper pink for your walls so that there's drama and contrast. Your master bath is definitely spacious enough to handle a rich hue. Use variations of pink hues via towels and accessories. Your gold will pop against a deep rich rose hue whereas it fades along w/ floor, countertop, accessories now. Your bedroom could use touches of deeper pinks via pillows and a throw too. Remove the excercise equipment in the bedroom also. From the monitor's perspective, these two spaces look too bland to the eye. They lack the wow factor that only comes w/ contrast and scale of print and textures. Dress up the windows to the bedroom, add white crown and replace the mirror over the bathroom sinks w/ framed singles and lighting over each. Upgrading the faucets to a brass and chrome dual metal will bridge the gold light fixture and frames w/ the chrome accents that are more to date. Think grander when it comes to accessories vs. small scattered what nots also. Your bath has a lot of potential w/ it's space and height. Accessorize w/ fewer things in a larger scale on walls in both spaces particularly around the tub area. Soften the liner bathroom window w/ a window scarf or jabot. If it were my bathroom, I'd remove the slidding glass doors on the shower and replace it w/ a pretty cloth curtain that coordinates w/ the window topper. BTW, note how touches of black as seen in your area rug add dimension and drama to this overall palette too.
